I moved into Greenwood one cold and slightly snowing March morning in 2017. It had been a very long process and one involving a lot of rejected offers and viewing houses that would never feel like home.
It is now almost a year since we viewed a four bed end terrace that has become our home. It was a spur of the moment house viewing fitted in before another when there were no other properties left on our list of possibilities.
I had begun to feel a sense of urgency (read as desperation) that I might loose my buyer if we were unable to find somewhere to move. We had been looking four three beds and a dining room and ended up with four bedrooms, no dining room but a utility area. We thought we needed to be semi detached and avoided terraced properties.
The house had been a hairdressers and bedsits and was not yet fully registered with the council, it was newly developed but empty with high ceilings and bare walls. But something about it called to us, the space and airy rooms.
The move took us from Chapel Allerton to Meanwood which has a different vibe and its own unique community and feel.

During 2017 we moved in and made little changes but slowly we are making it ours a blank canvas to mark as ours.
This is a place to chart those changes as well as the bits and bobs that make life in the Greenwood easier, happier and a bit more luxurious.

So welcome to the Greenwood as we start to make it ours in 2018.
